Luke Christopher isn’t about to wait around for anybody. Instead of relying on singers or producers, the Los Angeles rapper can belt out a hook with the best of them, and he remains an accomplished producer and beat maker in his own right. On his two new EPs YSTRDY and TMRW for ByStorm Entertainment/RCA Records, his singular vision only starts to unfold, encompassing airtight rhymes, cinematic storytelling, keen wit, and a little bit of wisdom.
Growing up in the San Fernando Valley, music surrounded Luke. At a young age, his father turned him on to the likes of Elton John, U2, Michael Jackson, and Stevie Wonder. However, hip-hop found him one Christmas when 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me sat under the tree. In high school, he converted the bottom bed of his bunk beds into a makeshift studio. There, he taught himself how to rap, sing, and compose beats. By his seventeenth birthday, he was ready to be properly heard, and major labels clamored for this strangely soulful and emotionally expansive style. Checkout our new interview with Luke.
Establishing his career with the legendary R&B group, Next, RL has tallied achievements and awards for the past decade and is still keeping the numbers coming. With ground breaking hits like ‘Butta Love’, ‘Too Close’, and ‘Wifey’, Next topped the Billboard charts as well as receiving Soul Train Awards and American Music Award nominations. However, that was only the beginning. Venturing out and making his debut as a solo artist, the Minnesota native collaborated with Deborah Cox on her single “We Can’t Be Friends”, as well as a single on the Best Man Soundtrack entitled “Best Man” collaborating with Ginuwine, Tyrese, and Case. Many may not know the significant influence RL has been continuously bringing to the table. Taking a break from the limelight, the songwriter has been working behind the scenes bringing you songs like ‘Bring Your Heart To Mine’ – Luther Vandross, ‘Come Here’ – J. Holiday, ‘Forecast’ – Jamie Foxx, ‘U R The One’ – Usher, ‘Just In Case’ and ‘Anything’ – Jaheim, and ‘Valentine’s Girl’ – Mindless Behavior.
Feeling like there’s no better time than now to re-emerge, RL is going harder than ever. He is now in the studio working on his solo album titled “5:15,” which he states will give a sexy and confident feel while telling the story of his journey; the ups, the downs, the good, and the bad. The singer/songwriter is also taking dates for his tour locally and overseas in order to promote his new project. Now, ladies and gentlemen, if you couldn’t tell, he’s here to stay. With Afro-Brazilian roots on his father’s side and Native American and Portuguese blood on his mother’s, French grew up singing in church (his dad was a preacher). He learned to play piano and guitar on his own around the age of ten. After teaching himself to play his dad’s long-neglected acoustic guitar, French tried his hand at songwriting, largely inspired by the soul singers, hip-hop artists, and reggae musicians he loved most. In creating his debut album, French is working to shape his sensitivity and imagination as a songwriter into music that’s uplifting in the most unlikely of moments. “I do try to be a positive force,” he says. “I truly think that music can help you get through the hardest times, and I want my own music to be something that helps people lean toward hope.”
“You Just Want My Money is a beachy slice of soul-pop built on French’s warm vocals and reggae-inspired sense of rhythm. With its sweetly carefree mood and an infectious energy that’s got much to do with French’s passion as a songwriter and performer, the song hit 5 million streams on Spotify within a month of its online release, boosted by a social-media frenzy that has prompted the #youjustwantmymoney hashtag to produce more than 80 million impressions on Vine. The song now has over 7 million Spotify streams. Teaming up with producers Tyler Duncan and Theo Katzman, French is now working on a full-length debut album that infuses that passion into songs with a daring emotional honesty and undeniably positive spirit. French will also set out on tour this summer supporting Nico & Vinz. The 24 city tour kicks off May 4th in Anaheim, CA making stops in NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles and more before wrapping up in Jason’s hometown of San Diego on June 8th.

Nico & Vinz are an international music sensation who have already set the European entertainment scene on fire. Hailing from Oslo, Norway, the singing/songwriting duo, made up of Nico Sereba and Vincent Dery, has tapped into the heart of global culture by writing and performing songs that joyfully speak of life, love and identity. Though it’s hard to name their sound, consider it reminiscent of The Police and Paul Simon’s Graceland. Nico & Vinz’s second Scandinavian single “In Your Arms” charted in Norway, Denmark and Sweden. Once again the video takes the viewer on a unique journey. With this song, the imagery is of a homeless man who creates a time machine to travel back to meet up with his family who had been tragically killed. When “Am I Wrong” made its American radio debut in April of 2014, it was the #1 most added record at the Top 40/mainstream format with 90 adds, a rarity in first-week airplay for a new artist. It has already made it to #1 Top 40 and Hot Ac airplay charts.
Fresh off of Usher’s European tour, Nico & Vinz stopped through Newark, Delaware where we were blessed for the opportunity to interview with the duo. David Duane chatted with Nico and Vinz about their success, new music, fashion, and their upcoming Spring tour. We’re so glad to share with this interview with you all so check out now and make sure you get tickets for Nico & Vinz’s tour this May 2015.

Welcome to #FaceTimeWithTheStars we welcome R&B/Soul Recording Artist, Sebastian Mikael. His best known for his hit single “Last Night” featuring Wale. Having released his debut album, “Speechless”, Sebastian has been touring and promoting the album non-stop. Now wrapping up his new album set later this year – David Duane got a chance to discuss the success of the first album and more. Check It Out !
Before long, Sebastian Mikael’s newfound passion led him to clocking long hours at Swedish recording studios, singing hooks for rappers and teaming up with a local producer to form a production team. But while the duo’s initial recordings generated a lot of online buzz, Sebastian Mikael was eager to strike out on his own. “I saw the initial potential of the work we were doing,” he says, “but I wasn’t getting a shot at doing my own songs. Plus, they are not as open-minded about music in Sweden as they are in the U.S.”
Feeling a glass ceiling approaching in Sweden, Sebastian Mikael set his sights on America and enrolled at California’s Musicians Institute to study audio engineering in 2008. After living in California for two years, he relocated to Boston in 2010 to attend Berklee College of Music. While a student at Berklee, Sebastian was signed by Slip-N-Slide Records CEO Ted Lucas and in late 2011 he released his first mixtape, J’Adore. As Sebastian stays on the road to promote the new single, he is also putting the final touches to his hotly anticipated forthcoming full-length debut album “Speechless” due out in late 2013 in a joint venture between Slip-N-Slide Records and Caroline/Capitol Records. During the recording process, he has collaborated with some of the finest producers and songwriters in the business, including Jim Jonsin and Rico Love.
