Smooth-talking heartthrob of VH1’s hit scripted series “Hit the Floor,” MCKINLEY FREEMAN hypnotized viewers as star basketball player ‘Derek Roman’ of the L.A. Devils and love interest of female lead Ahsha, portrayed by actress Taylour Paige.
Born and raised outside of Chicago in the college town of Champaign, Illinois, McKinley started as a basketball player for the University of Illinois. From an all-star basketball player, he then found himself working for IBM doing worldwide marketing and business development. With these two completely different paths in hand, he then reached a crossroad in his life where he had to decide whether to stay where he was, or take the plunge to follow his heart, thus leading to his first audition where he landed a role on ABC’s “All My Children.” Despite his late entry into the acting world, Freeman has already established himself through his ever-growing resume. With appearances on award-winning shows such as ABC’s “General Hospital’ and NBC’s” Days of our Lives,” McKinley has begun an era for himself. He continues to shine with a role on FOX’s “Bones” as well as the feature film END OF WATCH alongside stars such as Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña. From the average everyday lifestyle to becoming a hit celebrity, McKinley’s turn of events definitely took a turn for the better.
When he’s not filming, McKinley enjoys playing basketball, cooking and working out doing various forms of boxing, kickboxing and martial arts, which include Bojuka, Jeet Kundo, Muay Tai and much more. Also being an active poet, he often finds himself writing whenever he feels inspired, which led to his first self-published e-book. Additionally, he is involved with Covenant House and the Boys & Girls Club of America, seeking to use his basketball skills to help children. It’s to no surprise that his never-ending talent has led McKinley to where he is today. Checkout our latest interview with McKinley now !
Her undeniable talent, incredible voice, and striking beauty are the reasons she stands out from the rest and the reasons why she’s had staying power in the fickle, precarious music industry. Since emerging on the scene, songstress and songwriter Tweet, born Charlene Keys, has been a favorite for R&B music lovers. Now, after a six-year hiatus, she is back with her third studio album Charlene, a testament to her professional, personal, and emotional evolution. Charlene is more than just what some might call a “grown and sexy” album. It’s a soulful, beautifully candid album that showcases Tweet’s dynamic vocals, and her artistic writing ability. Charlene is food for the soul that will feed Tweet’s loyal fan base hungry for her return, and also pique the appetite of new fans with its powerful, expressive tracks delivered with passion and fervor, and a different, more mellow and poised sound than her previous hit albums, Southern Hummingbird and It’s Me Again. It’s been quite an exhilarating and enlightening journey for Charlene Keys, who has carried the nickname Tweet since childhood. Born and raised in Rochester, NY, Tweet grew up in the church, sometimes attending service seven days a week, and it was in the pews that her love for music began. She sang in the choir for years as a child, played the drums in the church band, and even became part of a gospel group that performed all over Rochester. She signed with eOne in 2012and got back into the studio with her longtime friends and producers Craig Brockman, Nisan Stewart, John “Jubu” Smith, and Charlie Bereal to record Charlene. From the first single “Won’t Hurt Me,” an anthem for women completely over a bad or ungratifying relationship, to the alluring “Magic” where Tweet croons in her angelic voice, “It must be magic/ Cuz what you do to me, I can’t understand it,” to “Neva Shouda Left Ya,” where Tweet sincerely regrets ending a relationship, lovers of pure R&B music will find themselves in sonic heaven. Missy also makes an appearance on the new album and the musical chemistry that she has with Tweet on the Timbaland-produced track “Somebody Else Will,” is quite evident and nostalgic. Because of the many gems on Charlene, it is the type of album that can be listened to all the way through, over and over again. Checkout our latest interview with Tweet and go get your copy of the new album “Charlene” now.
Angela Raiola aka “Big Ang” was the niece of Salvatore “Sally Dogs” Lombardi, a deceased captain of the Genovese crime family. Angela, a single mother of 2 was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY with her two sisters and four brothers. Big Ang always strived to be popular with “the mob”. She is what many consider a “mob moll”. Owning many mafia hangouts over the years, she became like “one of the guys” – even catching a case with some high ranking members of the mob. She was loved by them all. She is like a character straight from the movie Goodfellas and lives by the lifestyle code. Ang has dated many gangsters throughout her life but has always remained independent. She is not the typical woman who would depend on a man. Big Ang has managed to make her own way and provide her own means within this world, though she was always lavished with houses, cars, jewelry, furs (you name it) by many well known mob wise guys.
Unfortunately on Thursday, February 18th at 3:01am EST, Angela passed away from lung & brain cancer. We were grateful to have interviewed Angela back in February 2013, She was such a individual who filled with so much life. We send our prayers to her loved ones, We love you Angela and Thank you for your amazing spirit !

Considering his roots and upbringing, it is no wonder that Eric Bellinger has become an R&B sensation. An LA native and grandson of Jackson 5 hit songwriter, Bobby Day, Bellinger has been engulfed with music his entire life. His love for music drove his decision to turn down a football scholarship at USC to pursue his real passion. Bellinger began his musical journey recording and touring with the R&B group, AKNU (A Kind Never Understood) and soon signed to Epic Records by legendary executives, Max Gousse and Tommy Motola. His natural talent for songwriting became apparent and he returned home to hone his abilities under the guidance of his childhood friend and mentor, Erika Nuri of “The Writing Camp”. After signing a publishing deal with Sony ATV, Bellinger hit hte ground sprinting with stellar contributions to major R&B and pop artists such as Chris Brown (“Fine China”, “Love More” featuring Nicki Minaj), Usher (“Let Me See” featuring Rick Ross), Selena Gomez (“Intuition”) and Justin Bieber (“Right Here” featuring Drake) to name a few.
Bellinger’s music continues to gain prestige through illustrious awards from ASCAP (“Lemme See”), BMI (“Lemme See”), iTUNES (“Lemme See” 2012 Song of the Year) and the coveted Grammy’s (for multiple contributions to Chris Brown’s “Fame” album, voted “Best R&B Album” in 2012). In the midst of writing smash hits for other artists, Bellinger continued to create exciting music for his loyal fans, releasing multiple mix-tapes (“Born to Sing Vol 1-3” which reached #3 on iTunes, and his most recent and widely loved “Cuffing Season parts 1 & 2”). Bellinger is now focusing on his highly internationally-anticipated album, “Eric Bellinger” set to release the first half of 2016. Checkout our latest interview with Eric now !
