Luke Christopher isn’t about to wait around for anybody. Instead of relying on singers or producers, the Los Angeles rapper can belt out a hook with the best of them, and he remains an accomplished producer and beat maker in his own right. On his two new EPs YSTRDY and TMRW for ByStorm Entertainment/RCA Records, his singular vision only starts to unfold, encompassing airtight rhymes, cinematic storytelling, keen wit, and a little bit of wisdom.
Growing up in the San Fernando Valley, music surrounded Luke. At a young age, his father turned him on to the likes of Elton John, U2, Michael Jackson, and Stevie Wonder. However, hip-hop found him one Christmas when 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me sat under the tree. In high school, he converted the bottom bed of his bunk beds into a makeshift studio. There, he taught himself how to rap, sing, and compose beats. By his seventeenth birthday, he was ready to be properly heard, and major labels clamored for this strangely soulful and emotionally expansive style. Checkout our new interview with Luke.
Brave Williams embraced her musical talents, having already started her musical career when cast as a lead singer for the MTV Reality show, Diddy’s “Making The Band”. Although she was subdued from the reality show by the struggle of her father’s diagnosis of prostate cancer and early signs of dementia, her talent was still destined for success, which she earnestly grappled for. After three years of development and hard work, Brave co-founded an all-girl group which she named Richgirl. Richgirl landed a major deal with Jive Records. The group instantly created Billboard hits including their first singles “24’s” and “He Ain’t Wit Me Now.”
She continues to strive beyond what’s expected of her, by setting aside time for those less fortunate through Associated Black Charities (ABC), as well as her own personal philanthropic missions. Ceaseless and relentless, with the voice and fuel to light up a city, an independent, unstoppable, fire-driven Brave is now unleashing her full potential on her upcoming EP, “FEARLESS”
