In 1999, ABC began airing one of the first reality shows in major network history, “Making the Band”, which chronicled the formation and rise to success of the boy band, O-Town. The public tuned in to watch as Trevor Penick, Jacob Underwood, Erik-Michael Estrada, Ashley Parker Angel, & Dan Miller signed with Clive Davis’ J Records, released the #1 singles “Liquid Dreams” and “All or Nothing”, and achieved platinum success with their debut album. Despite their success, the band broke up in 2004 both to escape an unfair record contract and to pursue individual endeavors.
After a crash course in the entertainment industry in their early twenties, the guys have enjoyed branching off into different facets of the entertainment business. Their first experience left them with a desire to become more educated, seeing first hand how incredibly complicated (and sometimes corrupt) the industry can be. And now, after 10 years apart, Trevor, Jacob, Erik, and Dan are reuniting as friends with a renewed passion for making music together again. “This one’s for the fans and everyone who supported us from the beginning.” – O-Town

Jonathan Nelson is free from fear. He is brave and he is bold. As a father, husband, brother, son of a preacher, minister, worship leader and artist/producer, for all that he swiftly embraces with grace, it is no wonder that his fifth and latest release is entitled FEARLESS. For his Light Records/Entertainment One Music (eOne Music) debut, Jonathan set the tone in an audacious way with a live recording at his home church in Sunrise, Florida, The Faith Center, a self-described “melting pot of sound.” FEARLESS is anchored in the call and response of praise and worship, alongside the participatory style of audience inclusion. Through the God-inspired songs of hope, inspiration and strength, Jonathan is confident his listeners will receive the music by “embracing the messages, melodies and songs. Activate the lyrics and expect God to change their situation.” With FEARLESS, Jonathan is clear what he desires for listeners to receive. “I pray people to be healed of whatever is ailing them. I want them to be empowered (to seek Him for themselves), to be encouraged (in whatever situation they are in) and be inspired (to believe).” As the husband of seventeen years to Christina and father to his son and daughter, Jonathan Nelson desires to deliver a legacy of music and ministry that cross generations with FEARLESS. In providing ministry through song, the foundation for the future will be anchored in faith. And Jonathan wouldn’t have it any other way. Her undeniable talent, incredible voice, and striking beauty are the reasons she stands out from the rest and the reasons why she’s had staying power in the fickle, precarious music industry. Since emerging on the scene, songstress and songwriter Tweet, born Charlene Keys, has been a favorite for R&B music lovers. Now, after a six-year hiatus, she is back with her third studio album Charlene, a testament to her professional, personal, and emotional evolution. Charlene is more than just what some might call a “grown and sexy” album. It’s a soulful, beautifully candid album that showcases Tweet’s dynamic vocals, and her artistic writing ability. Charlene is food for the soul that will feed Tweet’s loyal fan base hungry for her return, and also pique the appetite of new fans with its powerful, expressive tracks delivered with passion and fervor, and a different, more mellow and poised sound than her previous hit albums, Southern Hummingbird and It’s Me Again. It’s been quite an exhilarating and enlightening journey for Charlene Keys, who has carried the nickname Tweet since childhood. Born and raised in Rochester, NY, Tweet grew up in the church, sometimes attending service seven days a week, and it was in the pews that her love for music began. She sang in the choir for years as a child, played the drums in the church band, and even became part of a gospel group that performed all over Rochester. She signed with eOne in 2012and got back into the studio with her longtime friends and producers Craig Brockman, Nisan Stewart, John “Jubu” Smith, and Charlie Bereal to record Charlene. From the first single “Won’t Hurt Me,” an anthem for women completely over a bad or ungratifying relationship, to the alluring “Magic” where Tweet croons in her angelic voice, “It must be magic/ Cuz what you do to me, I can’t understand it,” to “Neva Shouda Left Ya,” where Tweet sincerely regrets ending a relationship, lovers of pure R&B music will find themselves in sonic heaven. Missy also makes an appearance on the new album and the musical chemistry that she has with Tweet on the Timbaland-produced track “Somebody Else Will,” is quite evident and nostalgic. Because of the many gems on Charlene, it is the type of album that can be listened to all the way through, over and over again. Checkout our latest interview with Tweet and go get your copy of the new album “Charlene” now.
Angela Raiola aka “Big Ang” was the niece of Salvatore “Sally Dogs” Lombardi, a deceased captain of the Genovese crime family. Angela, a single mother of 2 was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY with her two sisters and four brothers. Big Ang always strived to be popular with “the mob”. She is what many consider a “mob moll”. Owning many mafia hangouts over the years, she became like “one of the guys” – even catching a case with some high ranking members of the mob. She was loved by them all. She is like a character straight from the movie Goodfellas and lives by the lifestyle code. Ang has dated many gangsters throughout her life but has always remained independent. She is not the typical woman who would depend on a man. Big Ang has managed to make her own way and provide her own means within this world, though she was always lavished with houses, cars, jewelry, furs (you name it) by many well known mob wise guys.
Unfortunately on Thursday, February 18th at 3:01am EST, Angela passed away from lung & brain cancer. We were grateful to have interviewed Angela back in February 2013, She was such a individual who filled with so much life. We send our prayers to her loved ones, We love you Angela and Thank you for your amazing spirit !
