Grammy-nominated singer, actress, and model V. Bozeman disrupts conventions, burns expectations, and emanates extreme energy in its purest form. Take one glance at her, and you’ll see strikingly natural beauty augmented by runway-ready features and edgy modern style. Musically, she doesn’t flip the script so much as rewrite it altogether. After one listen, you’ll hear feral intensity, focused vision, and unnervingly dynamic talent that turned musical innovators like Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds’, CeeLo Green, and Timbaland into fans, creative collaborators, and supporters. V. is best known for her recurring role on FOX’s Golden Globe nominated hit drama series “Empire,” where she had the distinction of opening the Empire series premiere (2014) with the heart-wrenching ballad “What Is Love”, captivating both viewers and listeners, and garnering the most downloaded and streamed soundtrack on the original Empire Pilot EP. The first episode was viewed in more than 20 million households. The official soundtrack, also containing the single, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and has since been officially certified Gold. V. once again stunned fans with her performance of her single “Hourglass,” written by Terrence Howard, on the season 2 series finale of “Empire” (2016). V has recently teamed up with Lincoln Motor Company (June 2016) for a commercial and release of her single “GO” off her upcoming debut album. A quick click online yields this succinct definition of the word original: “Not dependent on other people’s ideas; inventive and unusual.” For those seeking the musical equivalent of that, you need look no further than Tiara Thomas. Thomas first vaulted into national consciousness in 2013 when she co-wrote, co-produced and appeared on Wale’s hit single “Bad.” Now the multi-talented newcomer—singer, rapper, songwriter, musician, producer—brings that formidable skill set to the forefront on her Division 1/Interscope Geffen A&M debut album The Bad Influence. Leading the charge: the project’s feisty first single “One Night.” Checkout David Duane’s latest – new interview with Tiara to discuss Tiara’s new single and more:
And just who is Luke James?
He’s a singer/songwriter who truly embodies the honesty and fresh, organic soulfulness that’s been in relatively short supply of late in contemporary music. Now that sounds like a pretty tall order for a newcomer to fulfill. However, the New Orleans native is very much up to the task. In fact, you’ve no doubt heard his work: he co-wrote Chris Brown’s “Crawl” and has penned songs for Justin Bieber (“That Should Be Me”) and Britney Spears (“Kill The Lights”), among others. And his growing fan base includes none other than Beyoncé, who selected James to appear in her “Run the World” video. James’ real-deal approach to music and—more important—the craft of singing are the main attractions on his upcoming pre album and album of the same name: “Made to Love.” Both mark the singer/songwriter’s debut on Mercury/Island Def Jam via New Age Rock Star Records (NARS), the label helmed by award-winning producer Danja (Mariah Carey, Justin Timberlake, Keri Hilson) and long-time collaborator / mixing engineer Marcella “Ms Lago” Araica (Madonna, Pink, Timbaland). Now Luke James has released his debut-self titled album, “Luke” and currently touring to promote the album. In this recent interview with David Duane, James talks about his success as a recording artist and what’s next with him.
